Tell us a little about your role in this company – what are the things you most enjoy about it or the things which make it interesting and challenging?

My role as VP People is to oversee the HR strategy in our global locations and provide support to employees. Antidote is a digital health company with a mission to enable faster medical innovation by transforming how sponsors and patients connect through precision recruitment, a high-tech approach and the largest global partnership network of its kind. We are a small business (under 50 employees) and although our employees are engaged, it’s important to ensure we continually grow and develop individuals as there is not always a promoted role available due to our flat organisational structure.

Why did you want to work with Personal Strengths Coaching?

I attended a brilliant free workshop with Nic and thought our management & Exec team could benefit from identifying their own strengths and of those in the wider team. I also wanted employees to be in the mindset of using their strengths to support others allowing us to improve our collaborative and knowledge sharing culture.

What results were you hoping for?

Better collaboration across departmental teams and teams in other countries, knowledge sharing and utilising individual’s strengths to support others who may not have the same skill set.

What services have you used with Personal Strengths Coaching (Individual coaching, Strengths Optimisation workshop, Team workshop)?

We have used individual coaching, team workshops, eResource

I’d love to know your thoughts about how we worked together.

I have really enjoyed working with Nic. Nic has a wealth of expertise and has listened to our current position in terms of individuals’ & teams development then has supported our team on that journey to increase our aware on strengths, how we can better utilise us but also identifying areas that we can improve.

What have been the biggest benefits to the business you’ve seen from our work?

One of the big benefits of completing the Strengthscope exercise is the variety of strengths individuals have and how much talent collectively there is across teams. This has also not been a ‘one off’ exercise but instead we are using our strengths to drive our culture described above by assigning people with particular strengths to lead certain projects and supporting other team members whose strength in certain area may not be as strong.

What’s the best thing you’ve seen as a consequence of the sessions in terms of individual’s behaviours?

A deepened awareness of each other’s strengths and employee’s willingness to seek support and advice from others who may have a particular strength that could support them with work / project. Also, managers general confidence building of junior members, plus greater willingness to collaborate inter-departmentally

Are there any stories or incidents which for you sum up how this work has made a difference?

As above.

What teams would you recommend use Personal Strengths Coaching?

New managers would likely experience the greatest (tangible) benefits. Our Senior management and Executive team also benefited from the experience. I would also recommend for smaller businesses to get their whole departmental teams to undertake the Strengthscope assessment so the language can be shared in teams and everyone’s key strengths can be utilised more effectively to encourage a high performing team.
